The Old West created the stock horse, demanding a tough, enduring animal that could go for miles and herd the vast numbers of cattle in a bygone era. Not only was an athletic horse required, but one that could be completely trained in carrying out the everyday tasks of ranch life.

Strait Chaps Shoot Out July 22, 2023
Come cheer on the competitors of the Ranch Hand Boxing & Limited Non Pro Boxing as the finalists compete for the prize of custom chaps made by Peter Swales.
This series has been taking place in the 2023 season with top point earners earning a chance to win this great prize, also WILD CARD spots will be offered in the shoot out to the entrants who place in the money during the July 22 show of each class.
Don't miss the opportunity to come cheer for these horses and riders on Saturday July 22, following the conlcusion of our horse show classes.
Scores will be held by the announcer, and champions will be crowned during the Steak Dinner Banquet held immediately following the conclusion of the shoot out.
